Purchasing Burial Plots

Contact: Mary Ann Kneifl

Parishioners may purchase space for burials for themselves and for family members. Those who purchase space for burial are purchasing the right to interment in a specific plot.  The physical land does not become the property of the purchaser; rather, it remains the property of the parish.

Cemetery History

Michael and Jane Donahoe and their children settled in Daily Township in the early 1870s. In September of 1874 they lost their nine month old daughter, Catherine Imelda. They buried her on a windy hill on their homestead. In 1883 a seven acre parcel of land containing this grave was sold by the Donahoes for $1.00 (one dollar) to Rev. James O'Connor and his Successors to be used for St. Patrick's Catholic Church and were not able to obtain an official church record. cemetery, known as Tara Hill. Following is the list of graves that are marked at the Tara Hill cemetery. We were not able to obtain an official church record.
