Guidelines for Using Church Facilities (Download)

Revised January 2023

Please Note: All users, including parishioners and renters of our church facilities, are responsible for clean-up immediately following the function or event.

Kitchen
  • After using the kitchen, please sweep the floor and wipe up any spots. If the floor needs scrubbing, please do so with clear water.
  • Please remove trash and put new liners from under the coffeemaker in the trash cans. Remember to empty the two trash cans from the dining room. Put trash in our dumpster outside. The dumpster is located on the east side of the garage near the church.
  • Make sure the following are shut off: stove, ovens, lights, and fans.
  • If you leave something in the refrigerator after using the kitchen, label who it belongs to, or if it's there for someone else to use. Please do the same in the freezer
  • All counter tops need to be wiped off and pans and dishes put away in the cupboards. If something isn't working, please contact a St. Jane Frances PCCW Co-President or the Parish Office.
  • If you are having something catered, please decide whose responsibility it is to clean the kitchen and the Parish Hall.
  • If Committees or individuals donate items to the kitchen or Parish Hall, please consider them a gift and do not remove them for your own personal use.
  • Please do not remove anything from the kitchen. You are welcome to use everything within our parish building.

Parish Hall
  • The Parish Hall, including the classroom is to be vacuumed whenever used. This includes Parish events.
  • Wipe off and put back all tables and chairs the way you found them.
  • If extra tables and chairs are gotten out, please wipe them off and return them where you found them.
  • If you cannot clean the Parish Hall the same day as your event, contact a Co-President 2023: Janet Groen or Sherry Bradley.
  • Please do not remove any furnishings from the Church Hall.
  • As required by our Insurer, when reserving the Hall, the "renter(s)" shall fill out and sign the "Rental Agreement" provided, before use of the facility will be allowed.
  • Keg beer is not allowed in the Parish Hall.
Weddings

It is the responsibility of the Wedding Party to inform their family and friends of the following guidelines:

  1. No consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed before a wedding ceremony.
  2. No bird seed, rice, or similar items are allowed to be thrown inside or outside of the Church.
  3. Do not use syrup, honey, silly string or similar items that cause a mess on our grounds to decorate a car or bombard the couple.
  4. Please do not leave a mess outside the Church on the grounds or in the street for someone else to clean up after decorating the wedding car. (This includes cereal, popcorn, cans, bottles, paper streamers, or litter of any kind that would blow around or be left there).
  5. If you are dressing in the basement but not renting the basement for your reception, please make sure that the basement and the "Bride's Room" are clean before leaving the Church.
  6. Use only dripless candles and put clear plastic under candelabras and on the altar table beneath all candles provided. We prefer you use our candelabras rather than bring in other candelabras. There is no charge for our candelabras.
  7. Inform the ushers or have someone else in charge see that the following are done as soon as possible, so the Church is ready for Mass or for someone else to use it:
  8. Clear the Sanctuary of candelabras, kneelers, and anything else you may have used for your occasion that was not originally there.
  9. Pick up flower boxes, Kleenex, programs or other debris left in the pews and remove bows from the pews.
  10. If any items (chairs, card tables, etc.) from the Church Basement are used, return them to their proper place.
  11. Please do not remove anything from the Parish Hall or Kitchen. You are welcome to use everything within our parish building.
  12. No tape of any kind is to be used in decorating pews with ribbons, etc.
  13. Use proper decorum in the Church during picture-taking times.
  14. The Pastor and maintenance person reserve the right to exclude decorations or equipment or activities unworthy of the House of God in the Hall or on parish grounds.
